UFCU is proud to support Foundation Communities as they offer free tax preparation through their Austin Tax Help program. This service helps thousands of people file their taxes safely and accurately each year. It is available to qualifying households across Central Texas.
Foundation Communities’ IRS‑certified tax preparers can help you file your return, claim eligible credits, and receive your refund quickly. The service is free, and no appointment is required at most locations.
Who Qualifies
Foundation Communities provides free tax preparation for:
- Individuals earning up to $60,0001
- Households earning up to $85,0001
- Anyone who needs help filing a basic tax return

When you visit an Austin Tax Help location, you can:
- File your federal tax return for free
- Get help claiming credits such as the Earned Income Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit
- Receive support in English, Spanish, or other languages
