UFCU Announces Sushma Niwalkar as Vice President of Data & AI
AUSTIN, Texas – UFCU, a leading Texas credit union, announces Sushma Niwalkar as Vice President of Data & AI. This redesigned leadership role reflects UFCU’s broader strategy to build more intelligent, personalized, and seamless Member experiences through data and AI.
As UFCU continues modernizing its digital and omni-channel experience, Niwalkar will lead the organization’s enterprise data and AI strategy, including data governance, analytics, and platform modernization efforts across the credit union. Her leadership will help strengthen how UFCU uses trusted data and emerging technologies to improve decision-making, enhance operations, and deliver more intuitive experiences for Members and employees.

Niwalkar brings more than 25 years of experience across financial services and insurance, including leadership roles at Citi and Northwestern Mutual. Throughout her career, she has led enterprise-scale transformation initiatives focused on modernizing data architecture, strengthening governance, advancing analytics, and developing AI capabilities that solve complex business challenges and support long-term growth.
