AUSTIN, Texas, April 30, 2026 — UFCU is pleased to announce that Molly Beth Malcolm, Ed.D., has been named Chair of its Board of Directors. Elected by her fellow Directors at the Board’s Annual Reorganization Meeting on April 6, 2026, she will serve a two-year term. Dr. Malcolm succeeds Laura Kilcrease, who has served as Chair since 2024 and will continue as a UFCU Director.
“I am honored to serve as Chair and grateful for the trust of my fellow Directors,” said Dr. Molly Beth Malcolm. “UFCU’s purpose of empowering Members to achieve financial success and brighter futures is one I strongly believe in. I look forward to working alongside the Board and leadership team to continue advancing that work.”
Dr. Malcolm has been a member of the UFCU Board since 2017 and has held leadership roles, including Vice Chair and Nominating Committee Chair, helping guide the credit union’s strategy and long-term direction. As Board Chair, she will work closely with UFCU’s Board and executive team to support strong governance and continued progress.
“Dr. Malcolm brings thoughtful leadership and a strong commitment to our Members,” said UFCU President and CEO Michael Crowl. “Her experience with education, public service, and community leadership, along with her years of service to UFCU, will help guide our continued growth.
